•    Never leave candles burning unattended in a room.

•    Extinguish them before leaving the room or going to sleep.

  1. Keep candles away from items that can catch fire.
  2. Clothing
  3. Books
  4. Magazines
  5. Curtains (are all remarkably Highly  flammable)

•    Always use sturdy candle holders that will not tip over or burn. The Candle Holder should be bigger then the base of the Candles you are burning and are large enough to collect dripping wax.

•    Use candles in holders made of glass, ceramic, metal or other non-combustible material

•    Keep candles away from flammable liquids.

•    Trim candle wicks to one-quarter inch for Safety.

•    Extinguish candles when they have burned within two inches of the holder.

•    Never carry Burning candles (use a flashlight rather than a candle during power outages)

•    Place candles on secure Surface / furniture and out of the reach of children and pets

•    Keep matches and lighters out of the reach of children

•    Keep burning candles away from drafts and vents

•    Avoid burning candles for more than four hours at a time
